Thank you so much for your participation in our tournament.
    With 20 years of
marching contest experience, we hope to offer you a wonderful competitive experience.  A reminder list will be provided for you on Saturday at check-in.

    • Directions
    • We highly recommend utilizing an online mapping website.
    • Please note that the I-215 South from the I-10 freeway becomes the 91 West.
    • CAUTION:  the I-215 South continues on after the 91 split and will eventually take you to San Diego.

Take the 14th Street exit from the 91 West and turn right.  Make an immediate left on Lime/Olivewood Ave (there is a Jack-in-the-Box at the corner).  When you get to the bottom of the hill, turn right on City College Drive.  Make an immediate right into campus on Saunders St.  Our bus check-in will be on that street.
    •  Our parking lot is the “E” lot immediately to the right.
    • You will be directed left off of Terracina Road into the parking lot.

    • Chaperones
One chaperone pass for every 7 performers will be provided.

    • Changing Areas/Restrooms
All uniform changing must be done in your vehicles or in the various changing areas that you may have brought with you.
    • Restrooms are available in the stadium as well as the bus parking area.

      First Aid
There will be a designated area for FIRST AID
    • (Located near Visitor Side Bleachers).
    • Please note the temperature during the day.
    • We encourage all students, parents and staffs to drink plenty of water.

    • Warm-up
Please utilize the parking lot for your preparation.  The lot is far enough away from the stadium so there should not be any problems but please note our local rule listed below regarding interfering in another band’s competitive performance.  Use the lower campus only as there are classes during the day.  Guides will be available for your use but they will be instructed to be “hands off” unless you ask for their direct assistance.  Please note that getting to the performance on time is the responsibility of the competing unit.  We ask all bands to be at the gate 15 minutes before your performance time to ensure we keep on schedule.  The guides will take you down and around Saunders St. to get to the stadium.

LOCAL RULE: ANY UNIT IN THE STAGING AREA OR ANY OTHER AREA, WHICH INTERFERES WITH A COMPETING BAND, MAY BE GIVEN A 1.0 PENALTY OFF THE TOTAL BAND SHEET.  THIS PENALTY MAY BE GIVEN AFTER THE FIRST WARNING AND FOR EACH SUBSEQUENT WARNING.

    • Pits
Because of the routing, make sure that you group leaves with plenty of time to spare.  Make sure you have adequate staff or pit parents to assist moving your percussion equipment to and from the performance area.  IMPORTANT: If you use a gas powered vehicle to move your equipment, each powered machine MUST have a drip pan attached TO ENTER THE STADIUM.  No vehicle will be allowed on the field without a drip pan, NO EXCEPTIONS!  Please call Jeremy Hackworth (760-902-0710) directly if you need our help.

    • Performance
We are thrilled to be on the synthetic turf of Wheelock Field at Riverside Community College.  In addition to the field, RCC also has an all-weather track that they take very seriously.  All pits must move on and off the field on a tarp that covers the track.  NOTHING IS ALLOWED ON THE TRACK.  Please note that RCC has college hash marks imprinted on the field.  We will be adding our own high school hash marks for your show use.  Finally, the press box is located off the 40-yard line on side 2 due to the renovations done to put in their turf and track.

    • Food and Souvenirs

Our concession stand is available for your eating enjoyment.
    • Please support our event by not bringing outside food.
    • For safety reasons, barbequing is strictly prohibited.
    • NOTE:  Students sitting in the Visitor Side Bleachers in
the evening MUST utilize the walkway around the field
    • and are NOT permitted to walk on the track.

    • Commemorative Artistry in Motion patches are sold for $5.
A scorecard will be on sale for $2 throughout the stadium.
DVDs of your band’s performance will be on sale.
    • Personal videotaping is not allowed on the press box.

    • Hospitality
There will be a section on the WEST END OF THE STADIUM
    • for Band Directors and Staff personnel with “VIP Pass”.
    • Please advise your organization that this is a private area to all
    • Band Directors and Staff only.
