Beach Time in San Sebastian, Spain! This evening's
performances are in the town square. Followed by dinner at the
Cider House!
Dear Family, Friends, and Random people who read the Etiwanda web site,
Well this trip has been one for the record books so
far. Many memories have been instilled in my mind that will be
impossible to forget. One memory that will stay with me forever is the
concert I attended which featured the one and only, internationally
known hip hop/ rock group, the BEASTIE BOYS!!!!! It started off with
the usual opening acts that did nothing to get the crowd pumped up for
the Beastie Boys. Right when the Beastie Boys played their first note,
the crowd exploded into a giant mosh pit of doom. Everybody went crazy.
During the first 2 minutes of the show a fight almost broke out right
in front of my group and me, but the security guards broke it up. Since
it was very hot in the concert hall, many guys took their shirts off
and decided to share their sweat with everyone. Other than that the
concert was pretty awesome. The Beastie Boys sounded great and
everybody had a great time. That pretty much sums up the concert. Well
we just arrived in San Sebastian and I am very excited to go to the
beach and hang out with my friends. Even though it took 9 hours to get
here I still have enough energy to go swim and soak in the Spanish
culture. Well that is it for this journal entry hope everyone is having
a great summer in So Cal. Peace Out!!!!!!!!

Hello Loved ones and Friends,
This is the wonderful, most infamous member of the band, Kameron
Hollis. Only kidding. Well since we left America, I have talked to my
mother and my voicemail only. It’s a little depressing not being able
to use my phone to talk, and of course not texting hurts the most. So
far all of our performances have been great. The European love to shout
for encores, which have been really humbling. I have never experienced
that before, it really is a privilege and honor. As far as the girls,
lets just say if they spoke English I would be elated. I do miss
sleeping in a bed, because all of our sleeping gets done on the bus.
Which is not very comfortable by the way. But our bus driver Renee’
makes it better. He is the best bus driver the band has had. I’m even
considering hiring him when I head out for my world tour.
The showers have been a task because of the hard work that each
individual puts in to fit into the tub. It’s like Shaq trying to take a
shower in Gary Coleman’s tub. IT JUST DOESN’T WORK! All the hotel rooms
have been very nice, just a little more compact than American hotel
rooms. The funny thing about the Europeans is that mostly all of them
speak English. Which is wonderful because 90% of the band only can say
about six phrases in French.
While in Montreux, it rained everyday. Which got old after the second
day we were there. Luckily the Etiwanda band is strong and fierce and
will play in rain, sleet, or snow. We came close a couple of times to
having to cancel some performances because of the rain being so heavy.
Also, I strongly encourage all the parents to take their child to the
Doctor for just a minor check-up. Because we have inhaled so much
cigarette smoke that I know that my lungs have aged already. Besides
that, the festival was incredible. I saw Chic Corea and Pat Metheny in
concert. For those who do not know who they are…GOOGLE THEM. I can’t
wait to play Spain and go to the beach.
Well that’s it for me. Bye!
